The beris PRIME sets new standards in communication between horse and rider. Due to the anatomical shape of the extremely soft mouthpiece the pressure is equally distributed on tongue and bars. The integrated oval bit guards with their carefully designed transition to the middle piece prevent pinching of the horse‘s lips and provide the bit with additional, particularly good lateral support. The shape and the weight of the rings ensures a very quiet, neutral position in the horse"s mouth. This characteristic makes the bit wonderfully suited to young and inexperienced horses. The shape of the sidepiece also provides optimum lateral support and guidance. The large ring facilitates good and quiet use of the reins.
The tongue port bar has a particular flattened form to the port. This gives the tongue an optimum amount of room. Many horses respond to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing. And yet this bit is also well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to put the tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. Therefore this bit is perfect for horses that do not tolerate conventionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and react with head-tossing and the like. The loose ring means a greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. The loose ring bit is therefore a bit for horses that prefer a "more mobile" bit in their mouth. The ring runs very evenly in the copper sockets and, due to the better durability, increases the working life of the bit considerably.
The eggbutt bar is a universally deployable mouthpiece, it sits very quietly in the horse‘s mouth and the eggbutts effectively prevent pinching of the lips. The bit fits perfectly in the mouth due to its slight curve. Pressure on the rein alters the angle of the bit in the mouth and, due to its special design, produces an increased effect on the bars and tongue. The shaped transition from the mouthpiece to the bit rings prevents pinching and additionally provides the bit with particular lateral stability and hold. The shape of the bit is particularly suited to working with young horses.
The eggbutt bar is a universally applicable mouthpiece, it is lies very quietly in the horse"s mouth and the eggbutts on the sides effectively prevent the pinching of the lips. Our plastic comfort bar is particularly slim in size. With a thickness of 15 mm, the thin comfort bar provides more comfort even in smaller horse mouths. This makes the mouthpiece an ideal bit for ponies or horses that have very little space in their mouth. The gently modelled transition from the mouthpiece to the bit rings makes it impossible to pinch the lips and also gives the bit a particularly stable lateral hold. The shape and the different ring sizes make the bit particularly recommended for for working with young horses. With a small ring (6cm), the rider"s hand acts faster and more directly due to the shorter effective pathway; with the larger ring (7.5 cm), the effect of the rider"s hand is softened. The eggbutt bit can also be optimally adapted to almost any type of horse thanks to the different degrees of hardness of the mouthpiece.
Providing the combined effect of a port and the positive characteristics of the butterfly bar, the profile of the beris KONNEX bar is slimmer and it positions itself very comfortably in the horse’s mouth. There is also more room available as the port in the beris KONNEX bar is significantly wider. Suitable for horses with little space in the mouth e.g. thoroughbred types or older horses (due to change in tooth alignment), horses with large tongues and, in particular, ones sensitive to pressure points on the tongue. The 3 ring bit combines an effective lateral restriction, lever and elevator action in one. The degree of effect is selected by the different buckling possibilities for the reins. Buckled onto the bottom ring, taking up the rein exerts the effect of a short lever. The 3-ring bit is often used to test the horse"s reaction to a lever effect.
This anatomically correctly shaped bit rests evenly and lightly on tongue and bars, and provides more room and freedom of movement for the tongue. When applied with this bit, the rein will exert pressure evenly on tongue and bars. A lateral squeezing of tongue and bars does not occur. The use of bit guards makes it impossible for the lips to be pinched. Thanks to its slightly domed shape, the comfort bar lies particularly still in the horse"s mouth. Mouthpieces with a slightly domed bar are considered to be fairly particularly gentle and mouth-friendly. This property combined with our beris plastic enables horse and rider communication to be more gentle and relaxed. The comfort bar is particularly suited to young and sensitive horses. The increased pressure from using the second rein on the gag bit causes the bit to rotate and be pulled upwards in the mouth. This results in a stronger effect. Very useful with horses that tend to lean on the bit. Likewise also useful on horses for achieving increased elevation.
The eggbutt bar is a mouthpiece with universal use, it sits very quietly in the horse"s mouth and the eggbutt sides effectively prevent lip pinching. The Pelham- a classic bit, now in our more elegant and enhanced design. When the reins are applied, the bit acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll. Depending on lever length of the shanks (5 cm or 7.5 cm), a different strength and direct bit angulation in the mouth is achievable. Used on horses that have difficulties coming through at the poll, "hot" horses, or on horses that need significant input in critical situations (such as jump offs or similar). The Pelham is supplied with curb hooks.
The tongue port bar has an especially flattened shape to the port. This gives the tongue optimum room. Many horses respond to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing. This bit is also very well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to get their tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. This mouthpiece is thus eminently suited to horses that do not tolerate traditionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and react by head-shaking or similar. The Pelham- a classic bit, now in our more elegant and enhanced design. When the reins are applied, the bit acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll. Depending on lever length of the shanks (5 cm or 7.5 cm), a varying strength and direct bit angulation in the mouth is achievable. When the reins are applied, even pressure occurs on the bars and tongue. No lateral squeezing of tongue and bars occurs. Bit guards prevent pinching of the lips. Thanks to its domed shape, the comfort bar sits particularly quietly in the horse"s mouth. Mouthpieces with a slightly domed bar are considered to be especially gentle and kind on the mouth. This property combined with our beris plastic enables horse and rider to enjoy an even softer and more comfortable communication. The comfort bar is particularly suited to young and sensitive horses. The Tandem US is almost identical to the regular Tandem. With its elegant, black nose band it is favoured for use at sales and demonstration events.

The butterfly bar represents an absolute innovation in the field of mouthpieces. The anatomically correct shape combined with a broader surface in the tongue area creates the optimum amount of room for this very important and sensitive muscle with the possibility of a very gentle effect. Horses show they are feeling at ease by increased chewing and more acceptance of the bit. If a stronger effect on the horse‘s mouth is needed, the angulation of the bit in the mouth can be altered with a sidepiece that acts as a lever. The resulting increased pressure on specific points can then achieve the communication desired. When the pressure is reduced, the butterfly bar reverts immediately to the comfortable position. The loose ring means greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. This bit is therefore meant for horses who prefer a "more mobile" in the mouth. The ring runs very evenly in its copper sockets and this increases the lifespan of the bit substantially.

Horses accept leather bits exceptionally well. Leather is a purely natural product, it promotes chewing and also the flow of saliva. The bit slides easily in the mouth thereby increasing well being. The processed leather has been vegetable-tanned and hand stitched. When moistened, the anatomically pre-shaped bit adjusts perfectly to the anatomy of the horse"s mouth. Our leather mouthpiece is particularly well suited to young and highly sensitive horses. Even horses that generally dislike bits in their mouth mostly like a leather bit and can re-learn a trusting acceptance of the bit. The loose ring means that the bit moves more in the mouth. The loose ring snaffle is therefore a bit for horses who prefer a more mobile bit. The ring runs very smoothly in the copper sockets, and the resulting better durability increases the life of the bit. In choosing the bit, one can also address the horse"s requirements.

Identical in shape to the Comfort Bar, just the thickness is a lot thinner at 15 mm. This makes the bit an ideal one for ponies and horses with limited room in their mouths. Very successful in use as a dressage bit on horses for whose mouth a thick Weymouth bit and bradoon would be too much.

This characteristic, combined with our beris plastic, enables the rider to communicate with his horse in a more gentle and delicate way. The comfort bar is ideal for young and sensitive horses. The Kimblewick bit is an effective combination of a lever action on the horse‘s lower jaw, poll pressure and a re-positioning of the bit inside the horse‘s mouth. Three different buckling options allow a well regulated use of the bit. The solid sidepieces of the bit give it a certain weightiness, which ensures a quieter position in the mouth.
